Disney characters on trading cards

As early as 1935, Gum, Inc. of Philadelphia released 96 gum cards featuring Mickey Mouse under licence from Disney, and the backs advertised an album to collect the cards in. SkyBox's cards for The Lion King in 1994, in two series of 90 and 80 cards, are among the biggest entertainment card releases of the 1990s. Disney Treasures from Upper Deck came in three series starting in 2003, and every box of the first contained a card with two frames from a film print.

The releases of Topps Chrome Disney are covered in the guide to entertainment cards. Disney Lorcana is a different game with its own category.
