Cardboard card storage box – 1,000 cards

A card storage box in white cardboard with space for about 1,000 trading cards in standard size, for example Pokémon, Magic or One Piece. The cards stand in a single long row, and the lid is attached to the back edge of the box and folds down over them.

Boxes of this kind are often labelled with two numbers, because sports cards are printed on thicker card stock than cards from trading card games. The box fits about 800 sports cards. Cards in card sleeves take up more space than cards without, so fewer fit with sleeves.

The narrow shape, 38 centimetres long and 10 centimetres wide, means the box fits on a shelf or in a drawer. The size works well for sorting common cards and duplicate cards set by set, one box per set, and the boxes can be stacked on top of each other.

It works well for collectors and players who want to organise the cards from opened packs and displays. The cardboard keeps dust and light out but does not protect against damp or pressure, so cards of high value are better kept in toploaders or magnetic card holders. Cards are not included.
