Pokémon Pitch Black – Elite Trainer Box

Elite Trainer Box from Pokémon Mega Evolution—Pitch Black (ME05), English edition released on 17 July 2026.

Pitch Black is the fifth expansion in the Mega Evolution era and builds on the Mega Dimension add-on to Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The set is led by Mega Darkrai ex and Mega Zeraora ex, and includes six new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex plus four Double Rare Pokémon ex on a checklist of 120 cards including secret rares.

The Elite Trainer Box format gathers the set's starter material in one box: booster packs, 65 card sleeves featuring the set's artwork, 40 Energy cards, dice and damage counters, card dividers and a storage box with lid. Mega Evolution Pokémon ex have higher HP and harder-hitting attacks than regular Pokémon ex, but your opponent takes three Prize cards instead of two when these Pokémon are knocked out: the whole era is built around that trade-off.

Best for those about to start playing the set: sleeves and Energy cards are exactly what you would otherwise buy separately. Pitch Black is the era's latest expansion, so the set is still in active distribution. The contents of each pack are random and cannot be chosen. English edition with English text on both packaging and cards.
